Not ashamed

2 Timothy 1:12

I am not ashamed:  for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have  committed unto him against that day.


Never be ashamed of the gospel or your faith!

The human battle

This morning's verse is something we all deal with a lot!  It's jealousy, whether jealous of a friend, a coworker, a family member, whatever!  It's human nature to feel envious, but it's wrong and the bible says it's rottenness to the bones!

Proberbs 14:30

A sound heart is the life of the flesh:  but envy the rottenness of the bones.

My favorite verse

This morning's verse is a verse I found before I was married and I based the way I would live my life on it.  I was at a couple's house from our church, watching their children and I noticed a picture that read Joshua 24:15.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your Fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Shortly after my husband and I were married I knew that was the type of family I wanted to have, a family serving the Lord.

Most important message

This verse is about salvation, and I believe that's the most important thing I can post!
